Nitron got off to the best possible start in the first official British F3 test at Snetterton yesterday when Fortec driver Riki Christodoulou set the fastest time of the day. The young Brit is making his F3 debut this year after competing in Formula Renault for the Fortec team last season, including one race win. Riki's best lap was an impressive half second quicker than the rest and over a second inside the lap record.

The Fortec cars use six of Nitron's NTF Pro Series dampers per car. The fronts run 1-way adjustable units, the rears use 3-ways, and the car also runs two extra 1-way dampers as 'third elements', these are used in conjunction with the anti-roll bars to control the body roll. In Formula 3 the teams have few restrictions on chassis development which encourages design and innovation to gain crucial tenths in such a tight Formula. Nitron have been working closely with Fortec over the closed season to develop the effectiveness of their third element damper arrangement. Looks like it's so far so good!

The first two rounds of the Championship take place at Oulton Park on April 13th.
